Castillo de Colomares is a monument, in the form of a castle, dedicated to the life and adventures of Christopher Columbus. It was built near Benalmádena in Spain, between 1987 and 1994.

This is a landmark castle made with stone that tells the saga of the discovery of a new world, America. It was Columbus, who with his great fath presented to the Catholic Kings his plan to
travel westward to reach the Indies. That was his dream.
In 1987 Dr. D. Martin Stephen Martin began this work and with the help of two bricklayers
Colomares was created in seven years of craftemanship using brick, stone and cement. Due to his knouledge of art history and architecture Dr. Mart was able to shape this work to be a “unicum to tell by the way of stone about the Discovery of Arnerica.
