Welcome to this walking tour of Marbella Old Town, in Malaga, Spain. Today we visit the old town of Marbella, or Centro Historico, in Spanish.
On this Marbella old town walking tour, we wander about through a maze of narrow cobbled streets that simply invite you to get lost (which I did a couple of times). We enjoy a beautiful journey strolling through them, admiring the colors and enjoying the smells that come from the myriad of bars and terraces. It is like a network of alleyways lined with colorful geraniums, among which we can find the most iconic symbols of the old town.
The main attraction of Marbella old town, its true epicenter is the Plaza de los Naranjos. Here you can find three important buildings such as the Casa del Corregidor, the Ermita de Santiago and the Ayuntamiento.
Calle Ancha is another landmark of the city of Marbella. A street that is the home of the famous Iglesia del Santo Cristo de la Vera Cruz, a temple of the XVI century, and the Capilla de San Juan de Dios located between Caridad and Misericorida streets.
If you travel to Spain, costa del sol, and arrive in Marbella, then I strongly recommend you go see Iglesia de la Virgen de Los Dolores, for it is one of the most beautiful places to visit in the old Marbellí town.
I really hope you enjoy this 4k walking tour of Marbella old town.
